In pursuance of the promotion of good governance, societal values and right ideals which Anambrarians are known for, Anambra Achievers Legacy Award in Affiliation with Igbo leaders of Thought General Assembly is set to honor 30 Eminent Ndi Anambra who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour.
Anambra Achievers Legacy Award (Akuluo uno), a platform that encourages Anambrarians to invest in the state has set a standard where great men and women of proven integrity, Political Guru, the Religious, Entrepreneurs and heavily invested individuals who have touched lives are selected for special honor.
In a statement released to National Light, the spokesman of the group and Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria, Anambra Chapter, Rev John Ndubuisi, said time has come to recognize those who have given their wealth for others, individuals who have staked their lives and energy to ensure better living condition for the citizenry. He stated that in line with the Anambra “Nalue uno, Dozie be gi,” their mission is to grant meritorious award to eminent personalities who have returned home, invested and rendered selfless services in their chosen fields in the state.
He disclosed further that the special programme is a quadrennial event that honors committed Anambrarians who have greatly impacted on the lives of the citizenry through their services, projects and job creation. Individuals who have sacrificed their time, talent and resources for the betterment of the citizenry and government. And lastly, Anambrarians of noble and reputable pedigree who are exceptionally reliable and dependable at all times.
The platform which is duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja and empowered for the recognition of individual and corporate bodies had last weekend, made several consultations with different bodies, organizations, as well as the Elders’ council to ensure wider views and credible selection.
The former Governor of Anambra, the proponent of Think Home Philosophy, Chief Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife is expected to chair the special event.
