The secretary to the government of Anambra State, Professor Solo Ositadimma Chukwulobelu, has debunked and declared that the allegations of his involvement in illegal revenue collections from keke drivers were an attempt by mischief-makers to tarnish his hard-earned reputation and assassinate his character. This was contained in a press statement released by Mr Christian Aburime, press secretary to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. The statement says: “There is no iota of truth in this allegation. The Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, has no dealings whatsoever in any form or manner with the Tricycle drivers aside from when he mediated with the Tricycle Union body with other transport union groups when they staged a protest on Government tax reforms few weeks ago in the state capital, Awka.“Consequently, the above allegation is therefore baseless and unfounded. It should be completely disregarded and ignored as the handiwork of mischief makers who are bent on tarnishing the hard earned image of the  Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, for no justifiable reasons!”It would be recalled that the Keke Drivers Forum, Anambra State, had written a letter to Governor Soludo dated 26th July 2022, intimating him of a possible statewide protest if he didn’t investigate allegations of illegal revenue collections amongst government officials bent on truncating and thwarting his new tax regime to feather their own nest.
