The Anambra State Police Command have arrested a suspect identified as Ekenedilichukwu Ebuka for allegedly destroying a government owned property.
Reacting on the development, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Mohammed Haruna (SP) confirmed the incident on Sunday.
Mr. Haruna said the case is currently under investigation to ascertain the motive behind his action after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.
According to our correspondent the 27-year-old suspect who hails from Nibo in Anambra State was arrested by police officers attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) on Friday, April 24, at about 09:30am, following intelligence report.
According to report, the suspect allegedly set ablazed a government Mikano generator used for powering street lights located at Umuokpu in Awka South Local Government Area.
