The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha,most Rev Valerian Okeke has commended a non governmental charity organisation,the Care Foundation,for donating relief materials to the church and indigent people in Onitsha Archdiocesan community.The Archbishop made the commendations when he was invited to view and bless the materials which landed at the Archdiocesan Secretariat,Onitsha in a 20 feet container.The Archbishop prayed that the materials which included cloths,seats, mattresses,books,shoes,sewing machines, tables,musical instruments among many other articles be used for the good of the people.
A priest of the Archdiocese of Onitsha Rev. Fr. Ezeiloaku Cornelius who is a member of the US based foundation spoke to Trinitas News Editor,Sir Ononye VC on the development.According to Rev. Fr. Ezeiloaku Cornelius,the Care Foundation embarks on the project every two or three years to help alleviate the sufferings of the poor and assist the church.Rev. Fr. Ezeiloaku Cornelius also said it was part of evangelization to give life to people.He thanked Archbishop Valerian Okeke for accepting the offer of the relief materials and his blessings on the Care Foundation project.
