All roads literally led to the Knights of St Mulumba Lodge, behind St Mary’s Catholic Church,Inland Town,Onitsha where some distinguished members of the Knights of St Mulumba were honoured with awards by the St Francis of Assisi Subcouncil led by the Grand Knight, Sir Christian Achukwu.
Among those who received special awards during the week are, Chief Sir Pharmacist(Hon Anthony Ezechinwoye KSM,Lady Joyce Nsika LSM and Lady Uzoamaka Enendu popularly known as “National Madam”.
The award were conferred on them in recognition of their contributions towards the growth of the Order in presence of their Chaplain,Rev father Kingsley Ikwueme and Rev Fr Dr Celestine Umeh also a chaplain of KSM.
While rendering a citation on Lady Enendu who was conferred with the honour of Diamond Lady,she was described as a teacher of distinction who distinguished herself in the teaching profession from where she rose to a Director.
According to records she has held several positions in the Ladies of St Mulumba and a Patroness of many church organizations including the Gate of Heaven Block Rosary Crusade,Federal Housing Estate,3-3,Onitsha.
She is also the Treasurer of Surveyors Wives Association of Nigeria and Treasurer of Ladies of St Mulumba, St Francis of Assisi Subcouncil,Onitsha among others.
She is married to High Chief (Surv)C D Enendu,Dikeora Uke Kingdom.The marriage is blessed with children.She hails from Uke,Idemili North of Anambra State.
Lady Joyce Nsika was conferred with the honour of Diamond Lady.She has been described as a huge pillar of support to the Subcouncil through her beloved husband who was a Grand Knight in the Order.
An erudite teacher and lover of education, Lady Joyce who is a lecturer at the Institute of Ecumenical Education and Enugu State University of Science and Technology among others,is a humanitarian worker who has touched the lives of many and also develops initiative for job creation for the youths.
Hon Sir Anthony Ezechinwoye is a renowned Pharmacist. He was a legislators at the Anambra State House of Assembly. He contributed towards the development of the state and his constituency and attracted dividends of democracy to his constituent.
He hails from Oraukwu in Anambra State and married with children.
