The auxilliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Denis Chidi Isizoh on Friday May 1st, 2020 marked his 5th anniversary of his Episcopal ordination.
In a holy Mass presided over by the celebrant Bishop Isizoh, to commemorate the anniversary, the secretary to Bishop Fr. Innocent Udolisa described the prelate as loving and caring Shepherd who has passion for the poor and the marginalized.
According to him, Bishop Isizoh’s passion for the poor is manifesting in his daily pastoral life. “He has real and honest concern to the people entrusted to his care. He fills their pains.”
“When he assumed office as an auxiliary Bishop, he promised to train and sponsor any child from Ayamelum and Olumbanasa that passes minor seminary till he becomes a priest if the parents or his relatives are not buoyant financially. Today he is training a lot of them”.
“His pastoral zeal to give hope to the hopeless, voice to the voiceless, good health to the sick, and food to the hungry is second to none.”
” I thank God for gift of good health to our bishop because for the past five years he has not falling sick . His call to episcopacy is designed and destined by God. He was really called by God as Letter to the Hebrew indicated that ‘every high priest is chosen by God among men to minister to the people and he must be called just like Aaron was called.’
It will be recalled that Bishop Denis Isizoh was consecrated auxilliary Bishop of Onitsha on May 1st , 2015 at the Basilica sequare Onitsha.
