Bridge Head Market Onitsha, Anambra State under the leadership of Mr. Sunday Obinze has intensified enforcement of Covid–19 precautionary measures to ensure that both the traders and customers in the market adequately comply with the prescribed rules by the Government.
In a message released from the office of the President general of the Market, Mr. Sunday Obinze to all branch Union in the market which reads; ” As the state Government directed, you must ensure full compliance to the standard of Covid–19 protocols: set-up a hand washing points at the entrance to each line, maintain social distance, customers should wear their face masks properly. Any union that found violating the standard will have a case to answer.
His words,” it is unfortunate for the world to battle with Covid–19 again. There is nothing we could do except to embark once again on precautionary guide lines which the Government had mapped out. Actually, we did not adopt any new measures against the virus except that of Government guide lines and already existing private internal strategies which aided us to stamp out first evasion of the deadly virus.
Our Covid–19 taskforce committee members are working assiduously to enforce all the guide lines on both the traders and customers as well as our readiness of our quarantine room waiting for the defaulters. But, I am happy that traders already comprehended all the protocols and so far, they are complying and defaulters have not been yet apprehended.
