Leaders of the Catholic Charismatics Renewal of Nigeria,CCRN,Onitsha Archdiocese say they made a harvest of over 2000 new members after their one month spiritual warfare aimed at restoring peace in Anambra State.
The Charismatics concluded their twenty one days prayer warfare tagged “Depending on God”in all the parishes in the Archdiocese.
The closing ceremony featured a high mass officiated by Rev Fr Abba George of the University of Nigeria,Nsukka who also led the leaders in welcoming the over 2000 new members to join in evangelization of the word of God.
Rev Fr George observed that the present imperfect condition and activities in the nation can only be changed by a state of perfection which will destroy all the arsenal of the devil and fill us with the whole Grace needed to create peaceful environment for the people to rejoice.
In his homily,fr George asked the members not to discriminate among members nor jealous any miracle performer in Jesus name.
He charged them to advance with the word of God and overtake all the elements in the state and nation so as to bring Jesus to empower them with the gift of the holy spirit.
On the problems in Anambra State,Rev Fr George urged the faithful to remain silent since according to him, God’s silence means He was planning how to take control of the situation adding that God will surely rise up and enthrone good governance in Anambra state and Nigeria.
Others who spoke at the event include Rev Fr Anthony Chukwu,Chaplain of Dunukofia Region of CCRN who reflected on the feast of Corpus Christi.
Also the Onitsha Archdiocesan Chaplain of CCRN,Rev Fr George Nzemuoba advised members of the Charismatics to be transparent and truly accountable always.
The Archdiocesan chairman Bro Peter Nnalue urged the members to take the heavenly race seriously with honesty,dedication and punctuality.
In another development,a statement released by chairman of the CCRN media team,Bro Innocent Omebu highlighted the forthcoming Onitsha Provincial conference at Victory Land.
The National chairman Bro Vincent Nwoye expressed happiness at the turn of events and urged the stewards to pray harder for the success of their ministry of service to God and mankind.
