Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue has called on privileged individuals to reach out to the elderly, Orphans, the sick and indigent families to cushion the effects of the present lockdown.
Speaking in Awka, Lady Ndidi expressed optimism that the pandemic must come to an end someday and life will return to normal.
She stressed the need for people to make use of nose masks when stepping out from their homes, as well as practice regular hand washing under running water.
The Commissioner stressed the need for them to keep their sanitizers handy and maintain social distancing.
Lady Ndidi also enjoined them to shun fake news and misleadinginformation but rather adhere strictly to information made available by the World Health Organisation, WHO, Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the government and other approved reliable media sources.
