A former governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Senator Gbenga Aluko, has died of suspected heart attack.According to family sources, Senator Aluko collapsed in his office during the weekend and was rushed to a hospital in Abuja where he was confirmed dead.The former lawmaker represented the Ekiti South constituency between 1999 and 2003 at the National Assembly.He later contested the governorship ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State in 2018.Reports say Aluko was neither sick nor exhibited any symptom of sickness prior to his death.
