The member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe says one of his major priorities was to use agriculture to make his constituents self-reliant.

Honourable Obidigwe made this known at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport Umueri, after returning from Egypt with some of his constituents who went for dry season Agro-training.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after their arrival at the airport, Honourable Obidigwe who thanked God for the success of the oversee agricultural training noted that his main intention.

The member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe says one of his major priorities was to use agriculture to make his constituents self-reliant.

The Lawmaker who revealed that those who followed him to Egypt were trained on small scale mechanized farming, methods of preservation of Agro produce, dry season farming, irrigation among numerous others maintained that their training has broadened the knowledge of the participants who are majorly women, drawn from the two Local Government Areas.

Honourable Obidigwe re-assured his constituents that he will continue to give them effective and quality representation, by attending to their plights, ensure that the House of Representatives enacts and passes laws that will protect and serve their interests as an Agrerarian constituency and advised the trainees to put all they have learnt into practice.

Meanwhile, he has commiserated with Nteje Community, Oyi Local Government Area over the death of their Monarch, Igwe Rowland Odegbo.

Commiserating with the Royal family, the Lawmaker described the late traditional ruler as a father, friend and an honest man who played very instrumental role in his life, and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.

Those present were, the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Paschal Agbodike Anambra State House of Assembly, the member representing Anambra West Constituency, Honourable Patrick Obalum-Udoba, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West, Sir. Sylvester Orji-Okafor, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Chief Ojukwu Obakasi, the All Progressives Grand Alliance Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, Chief Joseph Ekwealor, the President, Aguleri National Youth Association, Chief Nnamdi Adimorah-Ikeli, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Prince Innocent Offordile among others.
