The Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province,Most Rev Valerian Okeke is celebrating his birthday.
He was born on October 20,1953.
Owing to the general poor atmosphere,the birthday would be very low key devoid of any celebration though a thanksgiving mass would be celebrated.
However,goodwill messages have been pouring to the Archbishop in their numbers.
There are goodwill messages from the Executive governor of Anambra State,Sir Willie Obiano and wife.Others who are felicitating with the Archbishop include former Governor of Anambra State Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige,the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District Princess Stella Oduah and Senator Victor Umeh and many others from the political class.
From the Archdiocese,the Caretaker President- General of Catholic Men Organisation (CMO), Archdiocese of Onitsha Sir Evaristus Uba,the Director General of Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) Dame Dr Ngozi Nwanosike and the Chairman,Onitsha Archdiocesan Laity Council Engr Leo Obiefuna are also appreciating God on behalf of their members on the life of the Archbishop.
Chief Azubuike Okafor,Chief Executive Officer of Zubix International and former Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) Anambra/Enugu/Ebonyi,also greets the Archbishop on his 68th birthday.
In a statement released from his office,the Onitsha Archdiocesan Chancellor Rev Fr Dr Prudentius Emeka Aroh,stated as follows,
“Onitsha Archdiocesan Family celebrates with great joy, the birthday of our chief shephard, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha and the Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province. We celebrate 68 years of triumph and manifestation of God’s grace in the life and ministry of the Archbishop. On behalf of Onitsha Archdiocese and together with millions of his friends and admirers, I wish the Archbishop more fruitful years ahead. Happy birthday Your Grace”.
