The Justice, Development, Peace And Caritas (JDPC) Archdiocese of Onitsha is partnering a United Kingdom based organisation to ensure peaceful governorship election in Anambra State come November 6 2021.
The UK based organisation known as Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office(FCDO)UK, was part of a collaborative meeting with NGOs and Civil Society Organisations and the media at the Onitsha Archdiocesan Secretariat recently where strategies for the November 6 Anambra Governorship election was discussed.
The JDPC, Onitsha said it will collaborate with other of its branches, the Situation Room, the Civil Rights Concern(CRC) and other civil society groups to ensure that objective of the meeting was achieved.
The JDPC Onitsha Programme Officer, Mr Nweke Agu Shadrach who addressed the meeting said the objective of the programme was to ensure peace, security, successful election and service delivery in Anambra State during the 2021 gubernatorial election.
Present at meeting was the Executive Director of JDPC, Onitsha Archdiocese, Rev Fr Dr Edwin Udoye, a consultant of the FCDO Mr Solomon and the Programme Manager of JDPC Archdiocese of Onitsha, Mr Alphonsus Nwoye.
