The leader of the Catholic women Organisation (CWO) of the SS John and Paul, lba Pope Awada Mrs Henrietta Ozigbo has called on Parents and Guardians to live up to their family responsibilities. Mrs Ozigbo gave the advice to the Parent’s during the activities to mark the 2022 Mothering Sunday which was held at the church Premises.
The mothering Sunday activities attracted devout Catholics and non Catholics who were thrilled by various events mapped out to entertain the guests by the five zonal branches of the church namely St. Patrick’s, Christ the king, Holy Spirit ward, St John Paul and the others. Lady Ozigbo expressed happiness for the manner the Catholic mothers of the Parish trooped out enmass for the celebration of the 2022 Mothering Sunday activities irrespective of the prevailing economic hardship in the country.
She attributed the attendance at the occasion for the unfailing love the CWO members have on blessed Virgin Mary, our mother. Commenting on the efforts of the Parish Priest of the S.S John and Paul lba Pope Awada,Rev. Fr. Victor Mbanusi towards the progress and growth of the Parish, lady Henrietta Ozigbo described the Catholic clergy as a workerholic who has tremendously transformed the Parish.
. The mothering Sunday activities which featured match past, cultural dance, news-casting and other events, honoured Mrs Eze Ejike Adaeze as special mother of the year. Speaking to newsmen on her award as “special mother , Lady Adaeze thanked the CWO for the appreciation and pledged to live as such. She underscored the importance of training their children in the ways of God.
