The auxilliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, His Lordship Most Rev Denis Isizoh today calls on Christians to make the church their second home, by paying regular visits to the house of God.
The prelate made the call during his visit pastoral to St Mary’s parish Nnobi. According to him, faithful especially parents should form the habit of taking their entire Children to the church at least once in a week apart from Sunday Mass. His words: “As a father or mother, the need to bring your family members closer to God by visiting a church frequently is sacrosanct. When you get to the church with your children, stay awhile, pray, present your wards and your self to God in prayer and go back to your house.”Visiting God’s house at ordinary days is an extra commitment to your relationship with God and such act attract unimaginable blessings from God.”
Bishop Isizoh also enjoined parents to pray together with their children every day before leaving for daily activities. ” Each family must make out time to say their rosary and parents should ensure that all their children own a chaplet even a day old, you can still wear chaplet on that child’s neck.”The highest gift item you can give your child who is going back to school or somewhere else is chaplet. As you are packing your child’s bag, don’t forget to put a chaplet because that is the physical weapon the child is going out with”, he advised.
