Traders in the Ogbaru Relief Market in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State during last week were thrown into jubilation as the president of the Market, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu commenced mounting of Industrial Solar lights in the stratagic positions within the four hundred and sixty lines inside the Market.
Speaking to newsmen who monitored the Project, the president of the Market, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu explained that his purpose of mounting the solar lights was to buttress already existing security Net work in the Market and to ensure that traders could off load their goods in the night conveniently.
He added that he would also distributes fire extinguishers to each of the lines inside the Market as a precautionary measure against sudden fire out break , recalling that he has opened and reconstructed drainage channels and as well created path ways in the Market immediately he became the Market president in January 2021.
Chief Ochiogu who disclosed that some traders assisted him by donating few Solar lights as an appreciation to his good work in the Market revealed that he would embark on provision of water bore hole after installing Solar lights and assured traders greater services.
Commenting, the Chief security of the Market, Mr. Ogbo-ogu Nwanodi affirmed that since the administration of Chief Ochiogu, their Market has been peaceful and no cases of shop breaking was reported, even as the Market building committee Chairman, Mr.Emeka Apeh described Chief Ochiogu as an impeccable leader who he said has repositioned their Market.
Some traders who spoke and commended the achievements of the Market president included; Mr Chigbogu Nwakonoinya, Mrs Francisca Nne- Nne Nwokeji and Mr Godwin Opkara.
