The people of Ojoto town have continue to pour accolades on their illustrious son Chief Uchenna Okoli a.k.a Egbeigwe Ojoto for tarring 4.5 kilometers of road single handedly at Akabo community of the town.
The road which gulped two hundred and fifty million naira( 250, 000000) Trinitas observed, was constructed with concrete gutters at the both sides to ensure durability.

An elder in the town Chief Samuel Mmaduabuchi Chukwukadibia Ezimo. (Ikenga Ojoto) who spoke to the press described Egbeigwe’s gesture as the first of it’s kind in their town, disclosing that no other person has given such a gift to the community before. His words; “Before now I never knew an individual can sponsor tarring of a road single handedly for his community. He salvaged the road from erosion disaster facing it . Prior to his intervention, the road was no longer in good shape. It was a death trap. By constructing and tarring this road he didn’t only succeeded in opening up our community but has turned into a modern city and he has put more life in us.

Also Chief Edwin Ilonze praised the generosity of Egbeigwe, describing as him as son of the soil who loved his community.

Another member of the community Hon. Festus Erika commended the philanthropist for his good heart, urging other members of the society to emulate Egbeigwe’ gesture. He revealed that Egbeigwe has also installed streets light to the same community. According to him, if everyone expecially the wealthy ones in our midst will imitate what the philanthropist has done, Nigerian society will be better.

The philanthropist Chief Uchenna Okoli addressing the press at the project site said he decided to tar the road in order to give his community members a good access road which will open up other business activities in the community. According to him, when you are blessed with wealth, don’t keep it for your self and your family alone, rather transform and develop the society with it. “When the next person or people didn’t benefit from your wealth, just know your riches is useless and meaningless.”

He made it clear that the time has gone when communities depend largely on government for development. “Develop your community if you have the resources”, he advised.
