Chancellor of Archdiocese of Onitsha,Very Rev Fr Prudentius Emeka Aroh has appreciated two priests and a number of staff of the Onitsha Archdiocesan Secretariat who celebrated their birthdays.
The Chancellor’s appreciation came after the monthly mass for Secretariat staff at the old church building,Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha.
Two priests,Rev Fr Austin Muobike and Emmanuel Onunkwo who were one year older each, received special prayers and blessings alongside other Secretariat staff who celebrated their birthday.
The Secretary to the Archbishop Rev Fr Kevin Chukwuka led other priests in blessing the celebrants.
The celebrants came together for the cutting of the birthday cake as facilitated by the Chancellor,Rev Fr Prudentius Emeka Aroh.
Also the Chancellor doled out raffle token of N2000 recharge cards each to ten winners among the workers who expressed joy and happiness on the ocassion.
Earlier during the mass,Rev Fr Christonogus Ibemere in a homily told the congregation of God’s wonderful way of creation adding that God endowed everyone with different talents.
According to Fr Ibemere,everyone has his divine destiny and as such should use our destinies conscientiously for the benefit of all.It is the wish of God he said,that everyone should attain his destiny.
The Vice Chancellor, Very Rev Fr Basil Ekwunife was at the mass.
The Confidential Secretary to the Archbishop, Sir Sam Obidile,the Director General of CWO Lady Ngozi Nwanosike, the President General of CMO Sir Ifeanyi Nnajiaku and many others were in attendance.
