The Onitsha Archdiocesan Laity Council held it’s annual Seminar on issues affecting the church and the society.
It was declared open by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev Valerian Okeke,represented by the Chaplain of the Onitsha Archdiocesan Laity Council,Rev Fr Celestine Aniofor after the opening mass.
The theme of the seminar is,”The faithfulness of the lay faithful in times of trial,banditry and hunger”.
The seminar was well attended by representatives of all parishes in the Archdiocese of Onitsha.
The Chairnan of the Laity Council Archdiocese of Onitsha, Engr Leo Obiefuna commended the delegates from the parishes for making the seminar successful.
A communique is expected from the seminar which was held today at the Madonna Conference and Retreat Centre,Nkpor,near Onitsha.
The governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party Dr Obiora Okonkwo attended the seminar.
