The Priests and Parishioners of “Our Lady’s Queen of Peace
Catholic church, housing Estate, Fegge Onitsha in the Onitsha South local government Area of Anambra state recently joined their counterparts in the Christendom worldwide in celebrating “Fathers Sunday”. The event which was perfectly organised by the Catholic Men Organisation (C.M.O) of the Parish led by it’s chairman Mayor Benson Onyeka and his lieutenants featured football match competition and visits to motherless babies homes and the physically challenged children in the state.

  Speaking to the press at the occasion, the C.M.O  chairman of the Parish, Mayor Benson Onyeka described the Parish fathers' Sunday of the year 2021 as very spectacular in many respects, especially given the commitment and oneness of spirit of the members of the Parish encouraged by their Parish Priest, Rev. Father Basil Okelu.
    Also speaking at the occasion, the chairman of the organising committee for the event  Chief lkechukwu Maduka (Onwa, Osuofia) similarly expressed happiness for the wonderful way the occasion  was held and the appreciation exhibited by the Parishioners for the celebration. He also commended the support and encouragement given to them by the Priest in-charge of the church, Rev. Fr. Basil Okelu and his vicar.
   The CMO chairman, Mayor Onyeka and Chief Maduka greatly appreciated the financial support given to them by Chief Basil Ejidike, the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress and their members, as well as the father founder of the church, Chief Fabian Onwuachu ( Osuofia), including chief Polycarp Okonkwo, the Orji Okosisi of Uli amongst others who contributed to  the success of the event.
