The Catholic community of St Stephen’s parish Ogbunike bubbled with joy and excitement on Sunday, December 26th, 2021 as parish received their illustrious son Bishop Denis Isizoh and as well reeled out food materials and cash to large number of parishioners.
Preaching at the Holy Mass, Bishop Isizoh while explaining the essence of feast of the Holy family, stated that marriage is all about companionship and child bearing. He advised couples not to be angry when they find it difficult to get a male or female child. “What is important is to give your children whether males or females the best training so that they can take care of you at old age. For peace to always reign at home, the husband or the wife must apply principle of little blindness by over looking certain attitudes and mistakes”, he added.
In his remarks, the parish priest Fr Augustine Ezeanya extolled Bishop Isizoh for his routine visit to his home parish during Christmas. He thanked the parishioners for their usual cooperation and support. The food materials distributed he said is to give back to the faithful.
The Vice Chairman parish council, Chief Dr. Aninweta Onunkwo who spoke to Trinitas expressed joy over the event. He thanked the prelate for celebrating Christmas with them every year and as well urged fellow parishioners to remain committed to their faith.
High point of the event was distribution of food materials and cash to a good number of parishioners.
