African Democratic Congress party (ADC )last Saturday May 1, 2021, reaffirmed her stand in supporting zoning of governorship’s position to Anambra South in the November 6th gubernatorial election.

The party made this known to the public through their national chairman Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu during the just concluded congress/ anuguration of executives of ADC Anambra state chapter at Choice Hotel Awka.

The National Chairman while calling on people to embrace equity by zoning the governor’s position to Anambra North, stated that it is a faulty script to say that this method reduces merit, efficiency or effectiveness. According to him, zoning is a Gilead balm that recognizes the great values, and principals inherent in our diversity.

His words: “the era of whining, ruing and complaining in Anambra and all over Nigeria should be over the moment the people align with ADC to usher in the orchestra to showcase the super power economic development and progress society that have been denied our people and country. We in ADC have envisioned for Nigeria and the various states within the country clear trajectory of development so that no one is left behind”.

” Our great party ADC working in alignment with Ndi – Anambra have envisioned Anambra of tomorrow as the African ‘Ijele state’ and cosmopolitan business hub to serve African and the world. I therefore urge all Anambra youths, women, PWD, and everyone resident in the state to own the vision.”

The national Chairman also congratulated the newly inaugurated Anambra state ADC Chairman Comrade Patrick Obianyo and his executives, urging them to work hard to produce the next governor of the state.

The state Chairman Comrade Obianyo in his speech stated that at the end of the day, if ADC guber candidate emerges Governor, the era of governors thumbing their hearts and counting payments of meagre salaries to workers, and construction of few kilometers of unsolid roads which get cracked, barely 24 hours after construction as major achievement would be thing of the past.

“With ADC governor on the seat of power in Anambra, the state would witness rapid and massive industrialization that would pave way for mass employment of youths. Agricultural potentials would be greatly enhanced through mechanization of farming, provision of improved varieties of crops, soft loans and creation of enabling environment for businesses to thrive, among other agro and non agro ventures.
