In order to monitor compliances on the recent Anambra State government directives that four zones in Onitsha should embark on massive and intensive wastes evacuation, the wastes Monitoring team Anambra State during the exercise visited Ogbaru Main Market to ascertain the level of compliance.
Inspecting drainage channels and environments, one of the Monitoring team member , Mr. Chizoba Ofodile expressed satisfaction on the level of compliance by the executives and traders of Ogbaru Main Market, stating that the good stories about the Market is true as he has observed their efforts in Keeping the Market clean.
He disclosed that the leadership of the Market is actually prepared to take the Market to an enviable heights, commending them for their supports to the State government in her efforts to make Anambra better.
Mr. Ofodile further extolled the president of the Market, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu for his leadership acumen, pointing out that he has good vision for the Market even before he led the Market under care-taker, urging traders to give him and his executives necessary supports.
He pledged supports to the Market when ever they need assistance from his team, pointing out that they have tried their best in evacuation of wastes and the remaining is left for the government.
Appreciating the Monitoring team, the president of the Market, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu thanked them immensely for the verdict, explaining that the directives by the State Government is a beginning of new dawn in the state.
He said that the Market never lagged behind in any State government directives, especially wastes evacuation, which he said was his first agenda even before he became the Market president.
