In an attempt to enhance the security and welfare of the inhabitants of woliwo community (1) welfare Association Onitsha led by comrade Albert Okeke and his lieutenants, the installation of four security Gates at the strategic areas of the community have been successfully commissioned. The installation of the Gates was approved by Onitsha south local government authority.
Speaking at the occasion, the former Chairman of the community, Evangelist Johnson Uba called on the inhabitants of woliwo area one to support the project committee chairman, Hon. Cosmas Nwugo and his members in realization of the installation of the security Gates, pointing out that the leader of the committee, Mr Nwugo has been a man of integrity and should even be allowed to lead the people in elective political position. He solicited the cooperation of the residents and the business establishments in the area towards the success of the security Gates.
Also speaking at the occasion, Hon. Cosmas Chukwuemeka Nwugo noted that the project was not an easy one for government to implement and expressed gratitude to God for the project initiated by the inhabitants of the community for security of their lives and property. He called on all the stakeholders in the area such as the churches, transporters, Onitsha south local government authority and others to come to their aid for the project financing.
The chairman of the woliwo community, Hon. Albert Okeke who led the residents of the community for the inauguration of the security Gates had underscored the importance of the project and called on the people to show concern. A woman leader in the area Mrs Grace Anekwe stated that the inhabitants of the community would not easily forget those who initiated and implemented the security project aimed at checkmating crimes in woliwo.
Among those inhabitants of the area and their leaders who witnessed the inauguration of the gates included; Kenneth udenyi secretary, Anene Uba treasurer, Ifeanyi Onwuegbuchunam financial Secretary, Hon. Benjamin Ejiofor, Hon. Emeka Emeribe. Others were sunday Adaku, Fabian madubike, Peter Okeke, Ben Ejiofor, Paul Okoli, Okejeme clement and John Anyaka amongst others.
